Youth Makers Lab provides kids access to tools, training and hands on experience in a wide array of crafts.

Our mobile maker studio is stocked with the equipment required to make, modify or repair just about anything, and through our community resource sharing network we are able to source reclaimed materials of many kinds. We bring our mobile maker studio to locations around the Portland area to host after school classes, no-school day and summer break camps, weekend workshops, special events and more.

Making things is an incredible way to develop confidence, resiliency, resourcefulness and grit - character traits that support positive outcomes both socially and economically, and support positive mental health. We believe that fostering these traits in youth will lead to stronger individuals, stronger families, stronger communities, and a stronger world. Inherently curious and creative, children are natural makers. We bring them the laboratory and the information, and let their ideas do the rest.

Established in 2026, Youth Makers Lab is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization launched as a project under Community Ventures Resource Network and Makerspace.
